Widgets are everywhere these days. What started out from RSS feeds and start pages to later become part of the mainstream in social networking, blogs, & portals, and has recently been thriving in mobile phone applications.

Taking a further look at the regional breakout of the top ten countries shows:

Countries included were:

• Asia: Indonesia #1, Singapore #2, Taiwan #3
• Europe: Switzerland #5, France #7, Sweden #10
• ROW: Australia #4, India #8
• North America: US #6, Canada #9

It’s interesting that when you combine Asia and ROW, you get 59% of total weighted search. I would have thought that US would have been a little higher with the popularity of Facebook and other SaaS applications. Perhaps an indicator of things to come.
